Volunteer with StageFound.
Free shows only run because people show up. Even one night a month keeps the nonprofit working — pick a role, share when you’re free, and we’ll match you to a shift.
What you’ll do
Four shifts. Pick what fits.
Every role makes the difference between a show that happens and one that gets cancelled. We pair you with an experienced volunteer for your first shift in any role.
- Door. Greet the audience, scan tickets if it’s a ticketed night, and keep the entrance running on schedule. Standing shift, two hours minimum.
- Concessions. Run the snack-and-drink stand at the back of the room. Cash and card, no alcohol — see the age policy. Cash out at the end of the night.
- Setup / teardown. Arrive 90 minutes before doors to help move gear on stage, or stay 45 minutes after to break it down. The heaviest lifts of the night.
- Sound support. Shadow our resident engineer — mic checks, monitor levels, line management. Best fit if you’ve run a board before; training available for the right person.
What we ask
The expectations, up front.
- How often. One shift a month is plenty. Pick the nights that fit your schedule — there’s no minimum, and no pressure to commit to a standing rotation.
- Age policy. Under-16 must be with a parent or guardian; 16–17 can volunteer on their own in line with the same all-ages policy the audience follows.
- No alcohol on shift. Concessions is non-alcoholic. The role is workplace-family — the same all-ages, no-cut ethic we run on stage extends to volunteers.
